Military honours were rendered for the state visit of President Sergio Matterella of Italy,a key Ally, and his daughter,Laura Matterella,from 26-29 SEPT 2024.The video shows the formation of the guard post;the entry of the guard battalion's honour guard,which consisted of all three Bundeswehr branches:German Army,German Navy and Luftwaffe;the arrival of the guest and his daughter and their greeting by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife,Elke Budenbender;the national anthems;the review of the guard post;and the march out of the guard post and honour guard.The guard post was led by LTCOL Maik Teichgraber,commander of the guard battalion.The staff music corps played under the direction of LTCOL Klauka.Before the ceremony,President Steinmeier delivered birthday greetings to a Luftwaffe member.
